During my exchange program in Birmingham in 2006, I also visited some parts of Northern Ireland.
Derry, witness of the Bloody Sunday is full of history with its numerous painted walls.
Belfast, with its prestigious university and some painted walls as well.
The Antrim coast, beautiful with all the cliffs above the sea, the weather was not so good unfortunately, cloudy and cold, nothing surprising for this time of the year (winter break). Our stops include the Giants Causeway, an area of thousands of basalt columns , formed after a volcanic eruption; and Dunluce castle, a ruined medieval castle, overlooking the sea on the top of the cliff.
I didn't go to Southern Ireland (including lovely Dublin) cause I needed another complicated visa at that time, whereas Northern Ireland was included in the United Kingdom visa.
